To live life to the fullest one needs to be physically active, have optimum fitness and be mentally happy too. So anyone wanting to promote a good life can do so by making 10 changes in ones lifestyle.
Going for walk daily costs nothing, but is very valuable for good physical and mental health. Walking helps the heart to get its much-needed workout, boosts ones moods and boosts energy level. In addition if one goes to a park or beach for a walk, one can get fresh air also. This lifestyle change in sure to promote good health.
The second lifestyle change is to make sure one has enough quality sleep that helps to relax and heal ones overworked muscles and makes one mentally relaxed also. So one should sleep in an well-aired room and on a comfortable and clean bed. In addition one should avoid reading, hearing or seeing violent and sensational things to be relaxed and calm before retiring to bed to enjoy a good life.
The third lifestyle change is to make sure one eat at regular fixed times. Eating fruits and salad vegetables as snacks in-between meal helps to give a feeling of fullness and provide fiber for regular bowel movements. In addition it is good to neither overeat nor under eat to prevent gases or bloating of the stomach that hamper good life.
The fourth lifestyle change is to make mealtimes family times. It is best to eat leisurely enjoying each morsel of food with your family than enjoy it before the idiot box. Members of families that eat together are happier and well-balanced individuals.
The fifth lifestyle change is to make sure one includes fruits and vegetables in the form of salads in ones daily diet. Salads not only help to promote good health but also help as a good substitute for foods that are bad for health.
The sixth lifestyle change is not reach out for cola when one is thirsty. Cola has empty calories, harms the tooth enamel, impairs ones digestion, lowers potassium levels and contains a large amount of sugar. It is best to substitute it instead to fruit juices, flavored milk or yogurt.
The seventh lifestyle change is to substitute some of your time spent at the idiot box to music system. This would help one to relax those frayed nerves and remove the dullness and boredom from routine mundane tasks. Music is a great mood enhancer also.
The eighth lifestyle change is to learn to relax at times to read a good and informative book or just take a leisurely walk in the middle of nature. This attitude helps one to relax, besides helping to accomplish unfinished tasks faster.
The ninth lifestyle change is to drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water in a day. Water definitely helps to hydrate oneself to have a clean metabolism and skin system. In addition water helps to enhance the function of ones brain also.
The last but important lifestyle change is the take a strong resolution to kick the addictive habits of drinking, smoking, and chewing of tobacco. These habits are harmful for health. Anonymous, help groups and close family and friends can help one to get rid of these habits to have good health.
