4 Natural Ways to Fight Insomnia

Are you tired every morning and feel like you haven’t had any sleep at all? Do you go to bed tired and wake up the same way? Or are you the kind of person who has undisturbed sleep and is unable to rest at all? Well, if your answer is yes then you suffer from insomnia.

Stress is one of the main causes of this condition. We live in a society that is surrounded by stress and we succumb to this condition. Although there are several drugs that can be used to induce sleep I do not recommend them as they are bound to have some sort of side effects due to their strong chemical presence. There are a few natural remedies that have proven to be extremely effective as a cure for insomnia.

Herbal teas work wonders on your body. Lavender and chamomile are known for their soothing properties and they can be used to calm your nerves as well as relax your senses. Drink a cup of the tea after dinner; just about the time when you are about to retire for the night. You will experience your eye lids getting heavy and you will be in deep slumber in a matter of minutes.

An herbal bath is not a bad idea either. Soaking in herb infused water will not only help you to get rid of the toxins from your body you will also be able to get a good night’s rest. The aroma that the herb will give out will tickle your senses and induce sleep naturally.

You could also dab aromatic oils like peppermint and lavender on a handkerchief and place it on your bedside table. Personally I use the oil on my pillow directly. Breathing in the aroma all night long helps me to relax and have undisturbed sleep. You could also try spraying the room with an aromatic fragrance.

Fragranced candles are a fad these days; but they do more than just beautify your room. Choose candles with a fragrance that will soothe your senses and burn it in your bedroom. You will have pleasant sleep all night long.
