8 Changes That Promise A Great Slim And Healthy Body

Being slim and healthy to lead a happy and full life is the dream of most people. However it is more easily done. This dream can be achieved by making 8 lifestyle changes.

The first change that could promise a great slim and healthy body is avoiding that morning cup of coffee which stimulates the central nervous system and instead grabbing that cup of green tea.  The excess of caffeine present in coffee causes stress, anxiety and insomnia. Green tea has only 15 to 20 percent of caffeine in coffee and is also full of anti-oxidants that can help avoid cancer and the hardening of the arteries of the heart.

The next great change is to avoid eating snacks that have a lot of sugar and fats. If one wants a promise of a slim and healthy body one should make it a habit to keep dry fruits, trail mix handy to eat whenever one feels tired or hungry. Nuts and trail help to have better circulation and muscle tone. It has been proved that nuts, seeds and trail are a treasury of vitamin E, lignans, and omega-3 fatty acids, which help prevent heart disease, helps you be slim and feel and look young.

The third change is to avoid refined bread, pasta, rice, and corn; they can cause diabetes, stroke, heart disease, arthritis, weight gain and allergies and include brown rice, whole wheat bread, and whole wheat pasta. Enjoy the taste of brown rice and avoid white rice.  It is best to also include other brown grains like quinoa and amaranth that are tasty and also full of protein. Besides grains like millet, sorghum, and buckwheat have rich sources of Vitamin B.  This change is also sure to promise a great slim and healthy body.

The fourth change that carries great promise for a slim, healthy and great body is to exchange  the idea of eating red meat with one to eat fish. Red meat increases the chance of getting cancer to 3 times. Besides fish has a high protein and low fat content and helps to avoid build up of plaque and reduces or helps avoid high blood pressure. If one should eat red meat do not eat meat of meat eating animals and those treated with hormones and antibiotics and avoid eating it often.

The fifth change is to embrace olive oil and avoid saturated fats like peanut oil, coconut oil, palm kernel oil, lard and butter. One could be slim and have a great healthy body consuming olive oil and other monounsaturated fats like canola, ricebran oil, walnut oil and flaxseed oil helps to guard against heart diseases and helps one to feel real great slim and healthy. If one loves butter on his bread he could embrace hummus as a good substitute.

As a sixth change to feel and look great slim and healthy start eating sweet potatoes or yam which are full of energy and contain good amounts of beta-carotene, vitamin C,  protein and fiber in place of potatoes, which are not very nutritious. They also contain a plant hormone; dehydroepiandrosterone that helps retard the aging process.

To promote a great slim healthy body take berries like blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, cranberries, and cherries to satisfy the sweet tooth in place of candies, pastries, sodas, and other refined sweets.  These refined sugars get stored in the body as fats resuting in gain of weight, heart diseases and cancer. Berries are antioxidants rich which help fight free radicals to remove toxic residues from the system and promotes energy and health.

The last and eighth change that can really help one to be slim and healthy is to go in for a bottle of filtered water and put that bottle of soda away to feel real great and healthy. Avoid sugar and artificial sweetners like aspartame or saccharin used in sodas. It is advisable to avoid very sweet fruit juice, herbal teas and take them with very less sugar or diluted.

Anyone can be sure that these 8 changes can positively promise a great slim and healthy body.
