A Few Foods to Stay Young and Healthy
One of the most craved for things by mankind is youthfulness. Staying young forever is a thing we covet and would go to any lengths to achieve this. The answer to our prayers lies in a good diet. A healthy diet will lead to a life devoid diseases and aches and pains and hence you will feel youthful. There are several foods that help to achieve this and you must try and include as many of them in your diet as possible.
-Oatmeal makes a perfect breakfast. It is high in fiber and hence it is highly soluble so it makes a great meal for those on a diet. It is known to help in lowering cholesterol levels, watches blood pressure and helps to keep you satiated for long periods of time. If you are not particularly keen on the taste of the food then you must mix a few of your favorite fruits or dry fruits in it.
-Brown rice is another healthy option as it is rich in minerals and nutrients. As far as possible you must swap white rice with brown rice.
-Wheat is another great source of vitamins as it is a high source of Vitamin E.
-Lentils are a great source of healthy fiber and they are especially good for women as they protect against breast cancer.
-Peanuts make a great snack, they help to reduce cardio vascular diseases and hence they are preferred to fried snacks.
-Walnuts have positive effects on the brain and the heart.
-The mono saturated fats from Almonds help to reduce the risk of heart diseases as well as reduce the amount of cholesterol in your body.
-Amongst the fruits all have positive results. Apples prevent constipation while in the juice form it fights the formation of kidney stones. Apricots fight against most forms of cancers and so do raspberries. Raisins are rich in iron and fiber and area natural source of sugar to your morning breakfast.
-Vegetables are all healthy food options as well as they are power houses of minerals and nutrients that combat several bacteria and germs and keep you fit.
-In addition to the foods mentioned; one must have a glass of milk daily. It helps to fight allergies, eczema and keeps your bones and teeth strong.
