Indian women are known for their beautiful long black hair and they owe all of it to the care that they take of it with the help of home remedies and treatments. Coconuts are synonymous with India and most of the remedies involve coconut oil in some form or the other.

Massage warm coconut oil onto your scalp and hair in order to prevent damage to the hair by dandruff and hair fall. Coconut oil nourishes the scalp and adds nutrients to it thus keeping it healthy. You can mix honey and olive oil and eggs into the oil and massage it onto the scalp and entire length of your hair. If you use eggs you need to wash it off within an hour; else you can use the blend on your hair overnight.

You could also boil fenugreek seeds and Indian gooseberry in the powder form in coconut oil and use it as a hair mask. This will help to condition your hair and promote hair growth within a few days of using the treatment. You need to make sure that the oil is boiled well till it turns a lighter shade of brown. In order to see immediate result you need to massage the oil into your scalp and leave in over night. Doing this daily will ensure that you have silky smooth hair within a week.

Mix hibiscus flowers and fenugreek seeds along with coconut oil and add powdered curry leaves in order to prevent premature graying of the hair.

You could also use eggs on your hair in order to maintain the protein balance. You could also add an egg to yogurt and honey and apply it to your hair as a mask and wash it off after an hour. This is a natural way to condition your hair.

Most of these herbs have an Indian origin but it is not difficult to get them. Simply look at the health section of the supermarket and you will be able to get your hands on these herbs.
