Aromatherapy and Anger Management

When a person feels disappointment and unhappiness then the feeling comes out in the form of anger. Some form of anger is normal. Everyone shows anger in one or the other condition. Today’s hectic life has made pressure and strain part of daily routine. This pressure and strain makes sometime thing out of control and one tends to loose its patience.

When anger happens only in some specific scenarios, then there is no need to loose sleep on it. It becomes a problem when a person shows anger in small and useless matters. When your anger starts creating problems in relationships at home and at workplace then you should seek the main reason behind it. Excessive anger not only harms a person on psychological level, it also drains out the energy from the body. Anger is one of the causes for headache, migraine, asthma, and many heart problems.

To get rid from excessive anger it is important to understand the reasons behind it. First step should be to analyze and understand the problems and then concrete steps should be taken to reduce them. The best way is to keep a cool and positive frame of mind. Aromatherapy is one such method which helps to keep mood fresh and tension free.

Essential oils are extracted from the flower, herbs, plants and trees. Use the essence and fragrance of essential oils to calm your mind and body. Taking bath with warm water containing few drops of your favorite essential oil can help in unwinding the tensions and negative pressure from the mind.  Good soothing and calming effects can be achieved by using a mixture of few drops of vetiver, rose and orange. Burning candle sticks containing jasmine, ylang ylang and bergamot creates a tranquilizing environment. This environment helps in getting relief from anger. Few drops of ylang ylang with sweet almond is considered best for getting a relaxed and calm mind.

Good results can also be attained by using a blend of two drops of orange and bergamot and one drop of roman chamomile. The above recipes of essential oils can be used for massaging, spa and meditation. Other than using aromatherapy it is also good to take sufficient sleep and rest. Take balanced and nutritious diet. Always try to keep yourself calm whatever situation is. Anger makes situation worse. It can never help in getting solutions of any problem.
