A normal sized potato can be sliced along with its skin and place them in a bowl of water overnight. This water can be strained and taken every morning as a first thing. Freshly extracted juice of potato is also favorable in the medication of arthritis.

Raw vegetable juices are also important in curing arthritis. About a cup each of freshly prepared carrot juice, leafy vegetable juice, beetroot juice etc. can be mixed together and can be taken 2 to 3 times a day. Pineapple juice is found to be important in the treatment of arthritis as an enzyme which is present in the pineapple juice is proved to be effective in reducing the tenderness and soreness of the joints.

Sesame seeds are proved to be helpful in comforting the arthritis. About a teaspoon full of sesame seeds can be soaked in a cup of water overnight. This water is very effective in the treatment of arthritis and can be taken in the morning as a first thing.

Copper is essential in the treatment of arthritis joint pains. Some amount of drinking water can be stored in a copper container to which copper contents may get accumulated by the next morning. This water can be drunk which will act as a source of copper. Using a copper bracelet or chain is proved to be useful in curing arthritis.

Calcium is important for the health and strength of joints. Calcium intake has proved to be effective in curing arthritis in many people. Calcium lactate in water can be taken in small amounts about 2 to 3 times a day. Calcium rich food items like milk, yogurt, cheese, spinach, peas, almonds etc. can be included in the daily diet of the patient.

Garlic is an esteemed remedy for the arthritis joint pains as it can effectively help in healing the inflammations. Depending on the preference of individual, garlic can be consumed raw or cooked. Vitamin B6 rich food items, especially bananas, are proved to be advantageous in the treatment of arthritis joint pains.

Lime is another important home medication for the arthritis. Lime juice can be diluted in warm water and taken daily in the morning for the best result. Citric acid present in the lime can effectively help in dissolving the accumulated uric acid causing the arthritis joint pains.

A soup of green grams can be considered as a useful remedy for arthritis. About a tablespoon of green grams can be added and boiled in a cup of water along with 2 to 3 cloves of garlic. This soup can be taken when hot twice a day for better results of the treatment.

Castor oil is one of the mostly used oldest remedy used in case of joint pains. Two to three teaspoons of castor oil can be boiled over a flame and then can be added to a cup of freshly extracted orange juice. This mixture can be taken once daily and can be continued for a week. For best results of this treatment the patient should follow an alkaline diet for the time being.

Coconut oil and mustard oil are important in the treatment of arthritis. A mixture of two teaspoons each of coconut oil and mustard oil along with a pinch of camphor can be used for massaging the joints which can provide a relief from the paining and swelling.

A solution can be prepared by mixing two teaspoons each of honey and apple cider vinegar in a cup of warm water. This solution can be taken daily in the morning which is a good remedy for arthritis.
