Avoid Crow’s Feet and Dark Circles Under Your Eyes
December 3, 2009
If you have noticed even a single wrinkle near your eyes then it is time to start fighting against it. The first sign of aging always comes as an eye opener and you need to ensure that you are able to avoid it. An interesting fact about aging is that it begins at the age of 25; so if you are in that age bracket or if you are nearing it you may want to pull up your socks on your skin care regime.
The first step to avoid dark circles and crow’s feet is to stop rubbing your eyes. The skin around the eyes is extremely sensitive and delicate and thus you must avoid rubbing your eyes in order to prevent damage. When you rub your skin you create friction and this damages the surface of the skin.
You must keep your skin and body well hydrated. This can be done internally as well as externally. In order to keep your skin well hydrated internally you must drink plenty of water. Avoid eating salty foods as the salt absorbs moisture from your body and dehydrates your skin. In order to reduce irritation in the area around the eyes you must drink plenty of fresh fruit juices as well as water. In order to keep your skin well hydrated externally you must use either coconut or almond oil or Aloe Vera gel on the region under your eyes; this keeps dark circles and wrinkles at bay.
Sleeping for 6 to 7 hours in the day keeps your eyes healthy and free from puffiness and under eyes bags. Lack of sleep makes your eyes look unappealing and tired; this is extremely unattractive.
Avoid rooms that are dimly lit. Always conduct all activities in rooms that are well lit in order to avoid squinting. When you squint your eyes get damaged and the skin under the eyes begins to show signs of crow’s feet.
In order to keep signs of aging at bay you need to pay close attention to your diet. Eat foods that are rich in anti oxidants as they promote the health of your skin. These foods also help your skin to recover from damage.
Use products that are specially formulated for your skin type; this ensures that your skin receives the right nutrients. Remember the skin around the eyes is extra sensitive and hence you must avoid using harsh products on that area.
