Beauty Benefits of Carrot

Carrots are inexpensive, healthy and available through out the year. It is a known fact that they have several health benefits; but there are use it in your beauty regime either internally or externally and you will notice a positive difference in the texture of your skin.

You can benefit from carrot juice, drink a glass or two on a weekly basis. It helps to improve your sight and helps your bowel movements as well. This helps to eliminate waste from your body and causes your skin to glow and look healthy.

Carrots can be used externally on all skin types. If you have oily skin then you must boil a couple of carrots and then blend them with a spoon of honey. Apply this paste all over your skin and relax for about 15 minutes and rinse with warm water. Your face will look healthy and have a long lasting glow. This is a common spa facial.

Dry and aging skin can benefit from carrot oil. To make the oil simply wash and peel carrots and place them in a jar and pour coconut oil over them. Keep the jar in the sun and after about a month strain the carrots from the oil and throw away the residue. Use the oil in your massages and treatments or simply as your nightly moisturizer.

Your hair stands to benefit from carrots as well. Simply boil carrots and blend them in a mixer. Then beat and egg and some yogurt and add the blended carrot to it. Apply this on your hair and keep it on for about an hour. Then wash it off with warm water to revel soft hair.

Carrots can also be used to exfoliate your skin. Grate a carrot and manually mix xit with coffee powder or sugar granules. Use this mix as a facial scrub on your face and neck to get rid of dirt and dead skin cells on your face.
