Most people apply conditioner on their hair as if it were shampoo and massage it on to their scalp. This causes harm to the roots of the hair. The roots of your hair are tender and well nourished and do not need to be conditioned. While applying conditioner you need to spread a dollop of it on one palm and with the tips of your fingers evenly spread it through out your tresses. Keep it on for a few minutes while you complete the rest of your bath and wash of with cool water. By doing this you will witness volume in your hair and will also save you the trouble of washing your hair daily.
Applying foundation without moisturizer is a cardinal sin. The first step in your make up routine is to use a thin layer of moisturizer. The tinted kind works best for daily use. Let your skin absorb the cream and then apply foundation. Not giving your skin time to absorb the cream will lead to blotchiness on your skin. If you are running out of time then wipe a tissue over your face to absorb the extra oil.
Most people spray on their perfume only moments before they leave the house. It is an absolute ‘no-no’. Perfumes stain your clothes. Before you put on your clothes spray your perfume on your pulse points (wrists, knees, earlobes, base of the throat). Do not rub your wrists together after spraying.
Plucking your eyebrows to a fine line is in vogue. This was never true. Having just a few hair above your eyes makes you look bald and you will hunt for your eyebrow pencil in a few days. If you pluck your eyebrows yourself, first trace them on with an eye pencil and then get to work. Thinner is not sexier. The shape you choose must suit your features.
