Oily and sensitive skin must be cared for in order to prevent breakouts and aging. It is extremely important to have a good skin care regime when dealing with oily skin. Sensitive skin must be pampered in order to keep it healthy and nourished. Oily skin secretes excess oils from the pores. Often the pores are wide open and this paves the way for a host of skin care issues. Both oily and sensitive skin must be washed frequently. This means that you will need to wash your face 3 to 4 times a day if you fall in this category. Wash your face with warm water or cold water but avoid using hot water on your face. Hot water will increase the production of oil if you have oily skin and if you have sensitive skin then you run the risk of blotches on your skin. Use mild cleansing bars to wash your face. Avoid using harsh products that contain chemicals as they will cause harm to your skin.
After you wash your face you need to use a toner on it. A non alcoholic toner will clean your pores and close them. This will prevent acne breakouts; however alcohol based toners will cause damage to your skin.
Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated. This is an internal treatment. Water flushes out toxins from your body. This reduces the risk of acne breakouts. In addition to this you can also use a topical moisturizer to hydrate your skin externally.
Use natural products on your skin. Almond oil and olive oil nourish your skin and hence they must be used regularly.
Exfoliate your skin 2 to 3 times a week with natural products. You can grind almonds to form a paste and exfoliate your skin with this paste. Walnuts can be used in the same way. You can also use rock salt or sugar to exfoliate your skin.
Use a good hydrating mask on your face daily to unclog your pores and to clean it from deep within. The mask also helps to reduce the size of the pores on oily skin.
