Bedwetting is a problem of most children and is mostly found among the boys than with the girls. It can be one of the biggest sources of embarrassment for a child and more so if he is a teen.

Although there can be a lot of causes and cures for the ailment, none of these things really matters for the bedwetters. The only thing that they are concerned of is finding a solution for the stopping of the problem.

The moment we think of bedwetting, we take it for granted that it is the case of the children, but you will be surprised to know that 2 percent of 19 year olds are prone to bed-wetting.

There are different causes of bedwetting among the children and the teenagers. In general, children below five years of age do not raise concerns and is thought as fairly common.

Hereditary, hormonal problems, inability to awaken from sound sleep etc affects the ability of the child to keep the bladder from emptying while asleep. Here are some of the natural cures to bedwetting:

Bedwetting alarm: This alarm has a moisture sensor that is attached to the child’s pants. When this alarm senses wetness, it will start ringing so that the child is aware that he is wet.

It might be such that the child has not completed emptying the bladder. It thereby helps the child in his training to go to toilet at night. After regular practicing for a few weeks, the alarm will help to wake the child up and they will know what has to be done next. After a few more weeks, the child will themselves learn to use the toilet at night and will stop bedwetting.

Bedwetting diapers: Although these diapers cannot keep the child dry, but will help to keep the child in not having to sleep in a puddle of urine. Moreover the mothers do not have to change the sheets every morning. But the child might not agree to wear diapers. Hence, make sure that the child agrees before making him wear it as it can be a very emotional problem.
