April 23, 2009

We all learnt on the numerous benefits of the coconut tree and how every part of the tree is useful in some way or the other. The fruit itself is known to have several benefits while the oil is used to cure common ailments and to boost your immune system. It is known to reduce stress, improve your digestive system, nourish your hair and improve the texture of your skin.

Doctors recommend pouring a spoon of coconut oil on the child’s food to help the child to gain weight. This is a tried and tested method, though most children do not like the taste of the oil on their food and resists the complete meal. A better way of serving the food is to cook in the oil. The taste diminishes with the blend of the other ingredients and the food tastes delicious. By doing so you help to improve your digestive system at the same time this helps to gain weight.

To improve the texture of your skin; heat a few spoons of the oil and massage in all over your body. You will feel instant relief form any aches and pains you may be suffering from ands at the same time the oil penetrates into your skin and acts as a natural moisturizer.

To obtain shiny hair and a scalp clear of dandruff, massage the oil onto your hair and scalp and keep it over night. In the morning dip a towel into hot water and wring out the extra water. Place the towel on your head for a hot compression. Do this several times till your begin to feel relief. Wash off with shampoo and skip the conditioner. Dry your hair naturally and you will reveal soft, silky strands. The oil also helps to eliminate any traces of dandruff as well.
