Benefits of Including Carrot Juice in your Daily Diet

When carrots were first grown it was not for the root but for the aromatic leaves that were used in a variety of ailments. But as times changed the root gained preference over any over any other part of the plant. Carrots are a good source of vitamins A and C and they also contain calcium and potassium. Drinking a glass of the juice gives you a good amount of fiber as well; this is beneficial for bowel movements.

Carrots are generally used in skin care regimes. The presence of Vitamin A in the carrots helps to prevent premature aging due to the presence of anti oxidants. The free radicals in the anti oxidants also help to cure skin diseases like eczema, dermatitis and rashes. It also slows down and prevents the formation of wrinkles.

Carrot juice also helps to cure skin burns caused by the excess exposure to the sun. You can use it externally as a topical treatment or drink a glass of the juice in order to condition the skin from within. During the warmer months of the year the juice acts as an internal sun block. The juice also increases the elasticity of the skin and thus prevents the formation of stretch marks during pregnancy or rapid weight gain.

Carrot juice also helps to fight acne and gets rid of blemish marks. Along with the juice if you drink adequate amounts of water you will be able to stay well hydrated. The juice also cures pigmentation and promotes the growth of cells thus keeping your skin soft, smooth and supple.

As stated earlier as carrots are a good source of fiber they aid digestion thereby preventing constipation.

Beyond all these benefits; carrots are also known to be effective for improving air sight. Research has proved that carrots are closely associated with the prevention and cure of most forms cancer. Therefore doctors strongly recommend eating carrots daily or drinking a glass of carrot juice daily. It is also associated with reducing the possibility of heart disorders and a stroke.

Though there are several benefits that you stand to gain from carrot juice you must have it in the fresh form rather than drinking it in the bottled form as the latter tends to loose most of the nutrients and minerals.
