Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil is a beneficial herb for removing bacteria which cause skin problems. Studies have shown that tea tree oil helps in reducing the growth of acne and removes bacteria that causes skin problems. Tea tree oil is mild and less harsh on the face as compared to benzoyl peroxide.
Tea tree oil is present in many cosmetic products like face wash, cleansers and creams. For oily skin mix one part Tea Tree Essential oil with nine parts of Aloe Vera gel and apply on the skin, leave for half an hour and wash off. Discontinue usage if you experience burning sensation or discomfort on the skin.
Many people are surprised that oil can be used to treat acne as oils are known to clog the pores and increase the instance of acne. Jojoba oil tricks the skin into thinking that it’s sebum and reduces the secretion of oil by the skin. Jojoba oil also helps in unclogging the pores thus clearing acne. Apply two drops of jojoba oil on the skin to treat acne. Jojoba oil has mild action and its effect may take some days to show, so be patient!
Yellow Dock Root
Yellow Dock Root is used for as an excellent blood purifier for hundreds of years. Its herbal action enhances the cleansing process of the body by stimulating the waste product removal system and heals the body from within. Purification of the blood from within helps in treating almost all skin problems including acne. You can take one to two Yellow Dock Root capsules in a day for best results.
The active ingredient curcumin present in turmeric is a natural anti inflammatory agent. Mix eight teaspoons of turmeric powder in five teaspoons of olive oil to make a paste. Wash and moisturize the skin and apply this paste and leave overnight if possible else wash off after half an hour. Turmeric may cause the skin to turn slight yellowish which is temporary and will return to its original color in couple of days.
