Breakfast is the Most Important Meal of the Day

70% of our population to skip breakfast on a daily basis while in a few households breakfast can be seen in the form of an energy drink, an energy bar or cookies. This is the most important meal of the day and skipping breakfast only makes you eat more during the day. Most people believe that skipping breakfast during their dieting period will help to reduce fat, however they are highly mistaken.

Research states that a wholesome breakfast is good for you. It boosts metabolic activity, increases alertness and enhances attention span thus increasing productivity in school and at work.

Just gulping down a bowl of cereal will not work magic for your system. Try topping it with fresh fruits like bananas, berries, and raisins. Avoid a breakfast high in sugar like sugar coated cereal. These are extremely popular with children. Sugar takes longer to be broken down in your system thus making you slower during the day.

Increase your protein intake in your breakfast. Add an egg or some fish to your plate. A dose of juice will do the trick however should be accompanied with some solid food.

The English breakfast, popularized by the Britons has made their way to the tables in every country imaginable. The spread of Scrambled eggs, bacon, grilled tomatoes, mushroom, toasted bread and sausages is fit for the King and sure will work wonders for you as well. While not every individual may be able to stomach this spread on a daily basis, it is worth the indulgence at least twice a week.

Pancakes are popular in the Americas and are a good source of various nutrients as well. Add a few fruits or jams or sauces to it and a tall glass of milk and you are good to go.
