The factors like food poisoning, improper digestion, overeating, consumption of contaminated food or fluid, nervous irritability etc. are responsible for the problem of loose motions. Sometimes bacterial attack is also a reason for the loose motions. Taking contaminated food which contains harmful bacteria, viruses, parasites etc can also lead to this problem.
The symptoms of loose motions may be both chronic and acute. People taking unhealthy food are always at higher risk of getting this problem. There are a number of home based treatments for loose motions. For example seeds of Indian fenugreek (methi) are very helpful in case of loose motion. Take about one teaspoonful of fenugreek seeds, fry these seeds in butter, take this with milk twice or thrice a day. Taking fenugreek seeds with milks for three to four days will provide a quick relief from loose motions. However if fenugreek seeds are not available, you can take just the butter milk for several times a day. It is also very helpful in case of loose motions. The curd must be shaken well and you can add some salt in it. It will compensate the salt that body has lost due to loose motions. However in any case if the symptoms are persistent, you should consult a doctor for the treatment.
