Lemon contains a good amount of vitamin C and hence consumption of lemon of a regular basis gives a quick relief from scurvy. Lime water is also good for avoiding scurvy. It is also one of the best sources of vitamin C. Taking lime water daily while getting up in the morning is very helpful in treatment of scurvy.
Amla is a famous fruit for its medicinal characteristics. Apart from curing other diseases, amla is very effective remedy for scurvy. Amla is the richest source of vitamin C and hence gives a quick relief from scurvy. Take 250 ml of milk, add amla powder to it, take this twice or thrice a day. You will find the results very wonderful and will get rid of scurvy very soon. You can take amla powder mixed with honey also.
Potato is also considered to be a good remedy for curing scurvy. It is a good source of vitamin C. In case of unavailability of other vitamin C sources, potato is the best thing to go for. Mango powder is also a good source of vitamin C and hence is a good remedy for the treatment of scurvy.
