When there are a lot of mucus and fluids and the body is unable to expel them, it leads to the accumulation of both these things into the lower part of the respiratory tract. Steam: Steam therapy is a well known remedy for chest congestion and is known to provide extreme relieve from the problem. The individuals just need to inhale steam for a period of 10-15 minutes. He will instantly experience respite as this remedy will help to release the mucus that has been stuck up in the respiratory tract.
Black pepper seeds: Black pepper seeds are known to be useful for chest congestion. Take 3-4 black pepper seeds and chew them daily until the individual gets relief from the congested chest.
Hot bath: Hot bath provides immediate relief to chest congestion conditions. The individual suffering from the condition needs to take hot bath or hot shower. It is more or less same to steam inhalation as the steam at the time of bath or shower helps in the releasing of the mucus that has been trapped in the respiratory tract.
Eucalyptus oil: This essential oil has been found to be of great help particularly when the chest congestion is caused from acute bronchitis.
