Generally vaccination is the only suggested treatment for chicken pox especially for children as they cannot resist the natural treatment which requires patients. Some adults are recommended for taking vaccination and antibiotics.
Itching worsens the situation so for reducing it you can have a cool water bath. Calamine lotion can also reduce itching in kids.
The most common precaution for chicken pox is that one should not touch or scratch it. This would result in production of scars over the entire body. Mostly scratching takes place on the face and it you do it continuously there would not be any treatment left for left out scars.
