Peanuts
Peanuts are one of the most common foods that trigger allergic reactions. Experts have advised people against tree nuts as they tend to cause the risk of cross contamination.
Moreover, about one third people who are allergic to peanuts tend to develop an allergy to other tree nuts as well. People with peanut allergy must avoid all foods with peanuts or even traces of peanut in them.
Eggs
Egg proteins are also a leading cause of food allergies. Some people with sensitive immune system can get allergic reaction with just fumes of eggs while they are being cooked. Foods that have egg as an ingredient are ice creams, candies, baked foods, mayonnaise, marshmallows, meatballs and nougat.
Milk
Cow’s milk as well as all dairy products such as butter, cheese, cream, ice cream, yogurt, pudding, buttermilk and sour cream can trigger allergic reactions. Many people who are allergic to cow’s milk are also sensitive to sheep and goat milk. People who are allergic to cow’s milk must substitute it with soymilk or rice milk.

Fish
Many people are also allergic to fishes such as tuna, salmon or catfish and others. Experts have suggested that people who are allergic to fish may be at a risk of cross contamination by eating other seafood. Hence, a person who is allergic to fish must eat other seafood with caution.

Shellfish allergy can be triggered by eating shrimp, lobster, crawfish or crabs. People who are allergic to shellfish must take caution while eating fish as there is a chance of cross contamination.
Wheat
Some people are allergic to wheat and wheat based products. Common foods with wheat in them are pastas, cereals, wheat germ as well as breads and more.
Soy
Allergy to soy is a major food allergy and many people are realizing that the indigestion they had was because of soy allergy. Soy is also known as soya.
For a person with a food allergy, consuming or swallowing even a trace amount of that food can cause allergic symptoms such as rashes on the skin, nausea, vomiting, cramps or diarrhea. If you have been identified with having a food allergy then you must avoid eating that food at all costs.
