Common Illness – Fight with Home Based Treatments

There are different types of common illness that adults and children suffer from every year. Strep throat, flu, depression, cold, anxiety, sinusitis are some of the common illness that most individuals go through almost every year. Home remedies and natural treatments mostly come from natural ingredients like fruits, vegetables and herbs that are common in our kitchen at home.

These remedies are simple, inexpensive, and natural that have no side effects and one has the delight of being able to cure himself so easily. Natural remedies can be used to treat a range of ailments through correct and regular practice. The ailments can range from boosting the immunity of a child to combating of hair loss, etc.

Home based treatments or common illness:

Strep throat: Sage and chamomile tea are best natural remedies for strep throat. While the analgesic properties of chamomile tea provide rapid relief to the throat pain and headaches as well as reduce fever and prevent dehydration, sage has the ability to reduce inflammation and protect soft tissues of the throat and the respiratory system. These are very strong and natural remedies.

Flu: Influenza, commonly known as flu, is a widespread illness that is found in almost every home each year. There are a number of home based treatments for flu. A common effective remedy is making of tea by mixing 1 teaspoon of bayberry bark, 1 teaspoon of grated ginger root, ½ teaspoon of cayenne powder and a cup of boiling water. One has to mix these ingredients, prepare a tea and consume it at least twice daily. It is a remedy for flu.

Cold: Lemon is the most useful and among the most important home remedies of cold and fever. The lemon juice that is rich in vitamin C not only increases the resistance and immunity of the body but also reduces toxicity as well as the duration of the illness.

Depression: The aroma of rose petals is one of the most effective cures for depression. One has to take around 20-30 rose petals in a glass of water and boil the same for about 10-15 minutes. After that, the mixture has to be cooled and consumed twice daily. This is useful in curing depression efficiently.
