Coriander and Its Many Benefits

In many parts of the world different parts of the coriander is used for treating various ailments. All parts of coriander are equally useful because of the presence of phytonutrients.  They contain beneficial nutrients like limonene, chlorogenic acid, camphor and many other things. Coriander also helps to stimulate endocrine glands and the secretion of insulin is increased from pancreas which increases the insulin level in the blood and helps in assimilation and the absorption of sugar which ultimately lowers the blood sugar level in blood.  Soak some coriander seed in a cup of cold water and keep it overnight. Strain and drink the water every morning in empty stomach. Diabetic patients may get benefited if they consume it daily.

Coriander is a very good disinfectant. Boil coriander seed in water, cool it down and wash your eyes with this water to cure conjunctivitis and other eye infections.

Coriander is good in rheumatism and arthritis. It prevents swelling caused due to these problems. Other causes of swelling are kidney problems and anemia. Coriander is rich in iron. That is why people who are suffering from anemia may add coriander leaves to their regular diet to overcome this problem. Regular intake of coriander cures malfunction of kidney.

People suffering from diarrhea get benefited from coriander. Borneol and Linalool – these two oils which are present in coriander helps in digestion of food and proper functioning of liver. Coriander has micro antibacterial property. It also cures diarrhea if they are caused due to microbial or fungal action. The antioxidant and antiseptic quality cures eczema, fungal infection and other skin diseases.
