Also procure zinc supplements which can be taken orally. The deficiency of zinc in the system triggers psoriases in many people.

Visit a physician and have yourself checked for vitamin D deficiency. Your physician would prescribe appropriate vitamin d supplements in the right quantities as well. Lack of vitamin d or lower level could sometimes also trigger psoriasis. A good source of vitamin d is sunlight. Try and expose the arms, legs and face to sunlight at least for about 10 to 20 minutes daily. The skin absorbs the sunlight and automatically converts it into the required vitamin.

Take short baths and avoid exposing the skin to very hot water especially in winter months. Hot water tends to enhance many skin conditions. Also ensure that your clothes are washed in allergy free detergents. Many fragrances added to washing detergents also irritate the skin so use detergents that do not have fragrances in them in fact switching to a detergent used to wash baby’s clothes should be considered.
