Drive that burning ulcer pain away

Remember the last time you had that gnawing pain in your stomach? I bet you do. It almost felt as if your stomach was on fire inside wasn’t it? With hectic schedules and lopsided eating habits, ulcer pains have become a common ailment. But, wouldn’t it be nice if you could use a natural remedy to cure it instead of popping in pills? Firstly, the symptoms of ulcer need to be recognised and acknowledged. It is basically a sharp burning pain in the upper part of your stomach and could be accompanied with fatigue, belching, nausea and even a possible blood stained stool. Nature offers several cures for ulcer. Some of them are as ordinary as cabbage juice. This increases the flow of blood to the stomach and strengthens it. Castor oil mixed in water; fenugreek leaves (methi) and raw honey are also very effective stomach ulcer curing treatments. Some also advocate the use of bamboo leaves for treating ulcer. Ditto for raw and boiled vegetables. Of course, drinking lots of water is an eternal evergreen method of curing innumerable ailments including stomach ulcer.

While nature cure abounds in plenty, Ayurveda also offers some cure for stomach ulcer. Amla (emblica officinalis), Shankha (conch shell) ad the ash of Moti (Pearl) helps cure heartburn. The plant of Giloy (tinospora cordifolia) also cures stomach disorders.

The best way to stay away from stomach ulcers would be to avoid constant use of drugs like Aspirin, spicy food, coffee, alcohol, nicotine and of course, extreme stress. Having experienced something as unbearable as a stomach ulcer something as little as not keeping your stomach empty would go a long way in keeping that burning sensation away.
