Women spend hours on end taking care off their skin. They cleanse, moisturize, cream and perform procedures on themselves that could make even the most strong hearted men go weak at the knees. Men ask themselves if all this papering is essential and does it help improve the quality and complexion. Men rarely spend more than 2-3 minutes looking at themselves in a mirror and don’t really pay much attention to their skin.

The modern man or the “metro sexual man’ as he is more commonly known as today has however turned things around. Men have started taking care of the way they look. They visit beauty parlors to have facials, manicures and even pedicures done and have started taking care of their skin to ensure that they look their best. Obtaining the best complexion as a man is not a difficult task and can be acquired with the right advice and without spending too much of time in front off a mirror. Most men are uncomfortable standing in front of a mirror however over time you will get used to looking at your own reflection in the mirror.

As stated earlier you don’t have to spend hours to get those smooth lips or that flawless healthy skin that you envy so much. Many make up artists use the same techniques in their day to day work as they are very simple and help achieve dramatic results.

The first thing that you would require would be a glycolic facial cleanser. Avoid using soap on your face instead use the cleanser to deep clean your skin. This would help to remove the dead skin cells and maintain the moisture in your skin at the same time. If you have blemishes or have had acne in the past which has left a lot of marks on your face a glycolic facial cleanser would also help you get rid of these marks and scars. Visit a dermatologist who would be able to suggest a good cleanser according to your skin type.

Once your skin is clean always remember to pat your skin dry and avoid rubbing your skin with a towel. You would also need to spend some time exfoliating your skin to help remove the dead skin cells. Add a little sugar to your cleanser and gently rub your face with it. Simply wash it off with plain water. The sugar crystals would help to exfoliate your skin without damaging it.
