Foods that Help to Reduce Fat

We essentially need to have a few foods in our diet that help us to maintain a well balanced diet wile reducing the storage of fat. Almonds and nuts, beans, diary products, green vegetables, eggs, white meats, peanut butter and berries help us do just that.

Almonds and other nuts help fight your craving for foods thus keeping you away from junk food and oily deep fried food. It also helps in building your muscle mass, reducing the risk of cancer and heart diseases. If you are not a fan of eating nuts then you can include them in your snacks or in milkshakes. They make a good accompaniment for a long drive or while walking to work.

Beans like soybeans chickpeas, lima beans and kidney beans help in burning fat and regulate digestion. Since they are low in fat they keep your cholesterol in check and are keen weight watchers. Do not consume deep fried beans as they beat the purpose. Beans in their boiled stage are the best.

Popeye ate spinach and so must you. He wasn’t lying when he said that it helped build muscles. A serving of spinach every 3 days helps control bowel movements and build muscles. It has an amazing load of Vitamin A & C, fiber and minerals like calcium and magnesium. Try adding green vegetables like spinach, lettuce and cabbage to your sandwiches for a crunch. As long as you are not eating these veggies fried they provide you with the power that you require.

Dairy products like milk, cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt and butter milk are a natural rich source of Calcium. They help in building your bones and fire up your weight loss. Milk prevents cancer, high blood pressure and obesity. If you are not able to stomach milk you can substitute it with any other low fat dairy products. Milk sprinkled with chocolate or blended with seasonal fruits or dry fruits make an excellent meal.

Oatmeal porridge is an excellent breakfast. It is rich in taste and keeps you from grabbing fast food during the day. It helps boost your energy levels as well as your sex drive because it is loaded with carbohydrates and fiber. It helps in reducing your cholesterol count as well as maintains your cholesterol levels. Beware of sugar coated cereal though as it negates most of the positives.

Oatmeal biscuits are a good substitute to your morning bowl of cereal. Eggs are rich in protein and the plus point is that you can eat it in various forms. It helps control your weight and reduces cholesterol. You may choose to eat either the whites or the yolks, either ways 1 or 2 eggs a day causes no harm. White meats are recommended in moderation. Do not binge on them as they generate heat in the body. Chicken and fish are rich in protein, iron and zinc. They curb obesity, fight against heart diseases and control moods.

Peanut butter available in jars is a fun yet healthy snack. It helps in delaying the appearance of wrinkles, obesity and build muscles. Blend it in a smoothie or spread in on a sandwich and you have a snack to pack you with most of you essential nutrients for the day. Berries in any forms are healthy as they are natural. Blend it with milk or crushed ice on a hot summer afternoon. Berries are bursting with fiber and hence prevent cravings. They help in improving memory and eyesight and protect your heart.
