Most people are of the belief that eating less food ensures weight loss. That is not true at all. The fact is that eating lesser food will decrease the amount of energy in your body, thereby making you crave food and binge at a later point. This defeats the purpose of needing to lose weight. Also eliminating foods from your diet does not help. The key is to eating foods that are high in nutrients; the kinds that give you the energy to last through the entire day. Eating these types of foods increase your metabolism; thereby making you burn the calories and convert them to energy rather than forming into fats.

Foods that aid weight loss

Research has proved that a cup of green tea every morning helps to decrease cravings for food. It is a powerful antioxidant and is even more powerful than vitamin C. The tea is known to increase your metabolism and thereby aids weight loss. Thus the tea is gaining popularity.

Apples are low in calories and fats and thus they help to aid weight loss. Eating an apple when you are hungry helps to serve your hunger pangs. Since the fruit is high in pectin and fiber it helps to fill your stomach and prevent further cravings for food; thus helping to reduce weight. It helps to increase vitality and burn excess fats thereby speeding up the weight loss process.

Oats and barely are whole grains that are loaded with fibers and are packed with energy. They enhance your metabolism. Oats deceive your stomach by giving it a feeling of being full and not in need of food therefore putting it in a situation where it does not demand or crave food. Including them in your breakfast ensures that you watch your weight well.

In order to lose weight quickly; you must include walnuts and apricots in your diet. Care must be taken to get the appropriate amount of exercise of you are indulging in these kinds of food. Since these foods are a source of omega 3 fatty acids they super size your metabolism and satiate your hunger pangs.

Bananas are one of the best fruits to help you to lose weight. They are high in water and nutrients while being low on calories. This helps to lose weight. They are not too expensive either and including them in your diet is a boon
