Free Natural Cure for Depression

In our stressed out lives we often get depressed and this condition must be attended to in order to prevent any complications. Depression is common to people of all ages and is a serious illness. Most people think that depression is merely an inability to control ones emotions or a feeling of being sad all the time; this isn’t true.

Depression is more serious and it can affect ones sleep patterns as well as eating habits. Depression affects both your body and your mind. Research has proved a direct link between depression and obesity, heart attacks, high blood cholesterol and suicide.

Just like our bodies need various minerals and vitamins in order to function properly so does our mind. Fresh fruits and vegetables provide our bodies the nutrients that it needs to survive and in the same way food and herbs will ensure the health of our mind and body.

Pomegranate, basil and chamomile leaves are herbs that you can use to ward of any symptoms of depression. These herbs will help to induce sleep as well as help to increase the appetite to ensure that you are eating well. These are the two factors that the herb takes into consideration when dealing with depression. They are considered to be the best natural resources for depression.

Research states that if you want to live a healthy natural life devoid of depression then you must eat your dinner 4 hours prior to bed time and you need to sleep atleast 3 hours prior to midnight. These are the hours when your body and mind get the most rest and hence it is recommended. You need not worry about any medication or herbs to help you out if you are able to make a few changes in your life to help you out naturally.

Yoga is a great way to elevate your mood. The various asanas or poses along with meditative exercises will help you to sleep and rest as well as ensures that you have a good appetite.

Licorice tea or chamomile tea are a great way to ease any stress and acts as an aid for depression. However do not drink more than 3 cups a day. You can also blend green tea with a spoon of sage. This will help you to ward of any signs of depression.

Boil cardamom seeds in water and add sugar to sweeten it. Drink this water twice a day and you will notice your depression levels deplete.

When you feel extremely depressed you must try to isolate yourself for a few minutes. Sit in an empty room and burn some aromatherapy candles; lavender scents work best to ease depression. You can also use lavender oils on your temples and gently massage then to ease away your negativity.
