Leg pain is generally caused due to different conditions of the body that have the capability to affect the bones, muscles, joints, and the ligaments of the legs. The contractions of the muscles that affect the hips, joints and foot are largely responsible for the pain in the legs.
The other vital causes of leg pain are fractures, trauma caused by falling or twists, shin splints caused from running, jumping, dancing, etc. and injuries leading to sprains and strains. Besides these, the other causes of leg pain are the strain of the nerves as well as lump formation due to clotting of blood.
Tiredness of muscles, excess walking and exercises are also the other causes of leg pain. However, there are a lot of home remedies that are extremely useful for treating the pain in the legs. Some of them are mentioned here under:
Fenugreek and methi: Both these herbs are extremely beneficial in curing leg pain. The leaves of methi have to be dried under the sun for a period of 5-6 days. Then these leaves have to be mixed in a glass of water and drunk on a daily basis early in the morning preferably in an empty stomach.
Massaging: Massaging is an extremely useful way to relieve pain from the legs. Massage the legs with mustard oil. It is a good way to cure leg pain. Besides mustard oil, coconut oil and other herbal oils are also extremely effective in providing fast relief from pain in the legs.
Lemon: There are times when we suffer cramps in the legs due to performing too much exercises or some other physical activities. In those cases, the intake of a glass of lemon water with a pinch of salt added to it not only helps to refresh ourselves but is also known to be a very good remedy for cramps.
Garlic: Garlic is also considered as a useful remedy for leg pain. Crush 2-3 cloves of garlic and boil it in a glass of diluted milk. Boil the milk to the extent that it is reduced to a quarter of the glass. Then drink the milk before going to the bed.
