Peppermint oil: Peppermint oil is extremely useful for cough. Add 10-15 drops of the oil to a kettle of boiling water and breathe in the vapors. This is an extremely useful remedy to get rid of cough. Again, mix 3 drops of peppermint oil with a spoonful of olive oil and massage the chest as many times as possible all through the day.
Garlic and honey: Take one or two cloves of garlic and grate them. Mix the grated garlic with a teaspoonful of honey and consume it as many times as required.
Cinnamon: This is a well-known herb and is often added in cooking, tea, apple cider vinegar, etc. All that one needs to do is to make a cup of tea and add some cinnamon powder in it. This is a very useful remedy in relieving cough.
Turmeric: The root of the turmeric plant is extremely useful for dry cough. The root of the plant has to be baked and crushed. This powder of turmeric has to be consumed in 3 grams dosage twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening. This is a valuable home remedy for cough.
Onion and honey: Grate one onion and extract its juices. Take a teaspoonful of the juice of the onion and mix one teaspoonful of honey in it. Let the mixture stay for 3-4 hours and after that intake this mixture in doses. This is a useful home remedy for cough.
