Get Soft and Smooth Skin with Natural Remedies
December 3, 2009
Soft and smooth skin looks nourished and healthy. In order to get this look you need to invest a few minutes daily in a good skin care regime. A few minutes with simple products will help to look and feel radiant.
Avoid taking a shower more than once a day as the water washes away the natural oils from your skin. Avoid using very hot water on your skin as it damages your skin cells. Use a wash cloth or a loofah in order to get rid of the dead skin cells but avoid rubbing too hard as you may damage the surface of the skin. Use a loofah 2 to 3 times a week. When you do not use a loofah use a moisturizing soap so that the moisture of the skin is maintained.
Immediately after your bath you must use a moisturizing cream or lotion on your body. This keeps the skin soft and well cared for. When you bathe you open your pores and moisturizing your skin at this time ensures that the pores absorb all the nutrients from your product. Apply a generous amount of lotion on your hands and feet and don’t forget your elbows and knees.
If you have dry skin you must use a moisturizer 3 to 4 times a day; especially after you wash your hands and face. During winter you must use moisturizing oils rather than creams as the oil will have a better impact on your skin.
You must moisturize your skin well before you go to bed at night. Use a generous layer of lotion or oil on your entire body and massage your feet and hands for a few minutes; this will increase the circulation in the area. Soaking your hands and feet in warm water and then applying lotion to them improves your complexion drastically.
In order to keep your skin soft and radiant you must bathe in milk once a week. Add a cup of milk powder to your bath water and soak in this for a few minutes. The milk will nourish your skin and get rid of all impurities and leave your skin soft and glowing.
You may use baby oil on your skin in order to keep it well moisturized however if you are showing signs of aging then it would be best if you use products specially designed for your skin type.
