Healing Chicken Pox with Home and Natural Remedies

Chicken pox is an extremely contagious disease that is found to occur mostly in the children aged about 3 to 4 years. It is a highly contagious disease but there are effective home and natural remedies that help to heal the ailment in a natural way:

Oatmeal: Oatmeal bath is considered as one of the best natural remedies to get rid of the itching sensation caused by chicken pox. Boil two cups of oatmeal in water for about fifteen minutes. Put the mixture in a cloth bag and tie a string around the top of the bag.

The bag should then be allowed to float in a tub of warm water until it becomes opaque. Now splash the water on the scalds. This is a good home remedy for chicken pox.

Marigold flowers and witch hazel leaves: The rash of chicken pox is extremely itchy and needs to be controlled. Take two teaspoons of marigold flowers and witch hazel leaves and soak them in water for a full night.

In the morning, use this water by applying it on the blisters.It is an extremely useful remedy for controlling the itching otherwise, bacterial infection can set in.

Vitamin E oil: Vitamin E oil is an excellent home remedy for chicken pox. Just take some vitamin E oil in your hand and rub it on to your skin. The healing potential of this oil is extremely good. The constant use of this oil will also slowly help to remove the marks that have been left by the chicken pox.

Baking Soda: Mix half teaspoonful of baking soda to a glass of water and sponge the body slowly with this mixture. Leave the wet body alone and allow the mixture of baking soda and water to dry up on its own. After the body dries up, it helps to successfully alleviate itching.

Herbal tea: Herbal tea is an effective natural remedy for chicken pox. There are a number of herbs that are extremely useful for treating chicken pox. Some of them are basil, lemon balm, chamomile and marigold. After preparing this tea add lemon and honey or cinnamon into the tea and drink this tea many times a day.
