Healthy Skin Care Tips For Teens To Avoid Acne Breakouts
Many adolescents all over the world are troubled with this one skin problem, causing them to spend endlessly on skin care products and even make up to conceal the damage on their faces. Applying make up on skin that already has acne only makes it worse. It’s important to treat acne and eliminate the root cause. The main reason that causes acne is oily skin, however unlike popular belief; it’s not the oil that causes the damage, but the dirt that the oil attracts.
Cleaning your face at least thrice a day with a mild cleanser is an advisable thing to do. Most of us with oily skin always pick up a face wash meant for oily skin, this actually makes it worse. These types of cleansers strip your face of too much oil, leaving your face feeling stretched. The skin’s natural mechanism is to then create more oil to help ease the dryness. Try using a mild soap free cleanser and always moisturize immediately, with a light moisturizer that is water based.
Cleaning your face thrice a day might not be a very practical solution, especially if you have a busy schedule. What works here is to then keep your face shine free throughout the day. Look for products that take care of the shine and dab your face with a dry tissue throughout the day, the tissue helps soak up the excess oil.
Do not ever try and burst the pimple on your own. This is going to only increase the number of breakouts on your face. Check with your parents and go for a clinical clean-up as opposed to a cosmetic one.

Healthy diet
If you eat fried foods and all sorts of packaged food items all the time, no matter how much you do to your face from the outside, it’s not going to help. Your diet has to have at least 3 fruits and 2 medium sized salad bowls everyday. These will give you the fiber and nutrients that help you cleanse your body from within. It’s like a filtration process to take out the impurities.
To add to this, drink at least 10 tall glasses of water everyday. Increase the amount of water, if you are involved in a lot of extra curricular activity.
