Healthy Ways to Energize Yourself on the Go

If you find yourself waking up each morning feeling totally drained out and sleepy then there are a few things that you could do that would help you jump start your day. These are all natural remedies and would be more energetic through the day.

It is essential first of all to make sure that you are getting enough of sleep and that your body is getting enough of time to rejuvenate. Each person is different and each person tends to use different quantities of energy even if they are performing the same task. Body structure, height, weight, stamina, physical fitness all play a role in determining the amount of energy a person uses to do any task and therefore it is difficult to tell exactly how much time the body requires to recuperate. On an average one needs to get about seven to eight hours or undisturbed sleep. Over sleeping should be avoided as this would also cause you to feel weak and tired.

Make sure you have a good heavy breakfast everyday. Essentially your breakfast should include complex carbohydrates with protein. Eggs are rich in protein and they can be taken scrambled or as an omelet. This should be accompanied with whole grain bread or brown bread. A bowl of oats or cereal should also be a part of your daily breakfast along with milk.

Decrease sweets and chocolates as they tend to give you a quick energy boost but once the sugar levels in your blood drop then you would end up feeling tired and drained out. Avoid meat and fats during your dinner as these are difficult to digest and take a lot of energy to digest.

Drink plenty of water during the day and avoid drinks with a lot of caffeine in them. Eat foods that are rich in iron like oysters, spinach as they help avoid fatigue. Exercise daily and remember to manage and cope with your stress.
