Herbal Cures and Proper Diet for Dandruff Control

Dandruff is mostly found in the scalp of the head. It is itchy, flaky, persistent disorder of the skin and its color is either white or grayish type. Dandruff is caused from the excessive shedding of the dead cells from the scalp.

Dandruff is mostly caused among persons between 12 to 80 years of age. Dandruff is a kind of fungal infection and can cause negative effect on one’s lifestyle in varying degrees. Spicy and saturated fat foods: Spicy foods tend to increase the body secretions. This type of food tends to irritate the metabolism of the body and thereby cause imbalanced leading to excess bodily secretions.

Again food having saturated fats like red meat and margarine are known to encourage the production f sebum inside the body. Cutting down these types of food reduces the chances of dandruff in the scalp of the head or any other body parts.

Fruits and vegetables: Fresh fruits and vegetables are always healthy for the body. These foods contains rich amount of vitamin B and minerals. Studies indicate that the lack of such vitamins and minerals within the body are considered as one of the leading causes of the formation of dandruff.

Milk: Milk is known to be rich in vitamin A, D, E, and K. These vitamins are essentially fat soluble in nature and are vital for the keeping of the body in a healthy and balanced state. A healthy body deters the formation of dandruff.

Onion: Like foods, herbs play a massive role in the discouraging of the dandruff formation. Take an onion mash it into paste. Now take some of this paste and apply it onto the head. Wait for a period of 15-20 minutes and wash the head thoroughly. It helps to treat dandruff.

Lemon juice: Extract some juice from a lemon and apply it on the head. This is a simple and popular remedy for dandruff.
