Herbal Remedies For Chicken Pox
Chicken pox, a disease which mostly attacks the children in age group of three to five years, is a highly transmittable disease. It can be transmitted from one child to the other and hence a great degree of care is required if someone is suffering from chicken pox. The symptoms of the disease are fever, blistering of skin, headache, vomiting etc. Sometime the blistering of eyes is also observed in this disease. In case the fever is high and the vomiting is consistent, you are advised to consult a doctor. Sometime pregnant woman, infant or the adult are also attacked by this disease. If the symptoms are severe, a doctor’s intervention may help in treatment of this disease. Most of the people opt for home remedies rather than going for a doctor in case of chicken pox.
In case your child is suffering from the chicken pox, remedies for reducing fever and itching are helpful. A proper rest and well hydrated body are also helpful in chicken pox. You can use one of the various herbal remedies for the treatment of chicken pox. In order to reduce itching you can apply paste of baking soda in water on the blisters. Taking herbal tea is very helpful in chicken pox. The tea made of tulsi, chamomile, lemon, marigold and honey reduces the symptoms. Take two spoonful of dried flower heads, add them to a cup of hot water and leave for 15-20 minutes. Apply this on the blister. This will reduce the inflammation. You can drink this infusion for a better result.
The most common and highly effective natural remedy for chicken pox is the oatmeal bath. A regular oatmeal bath helps in reducing the itching and gives relief in other symptoms also. Take some oatmeal and boil them in water for more than 20 minutes. Use this water for treatment of the chicken pox. However, in any case if the symptoms are severe and these remedies are not very helpful, you are advised to consult and doctor.
