6 Herbal Remedies for Nausea
Chamomile
Chamomile is an effective herbal remedy for nausea. Chamomile is also known as ‘’Matricaria Recutita’’. Consumption of a cup of chamomile tea 2 to 3 times in a day can cure nausea.
Chamomile essential oil (2 or 3 tablespoons) can also be added to a bucket of warm water to be used for bathing to obtain the desired results. This herb is not recommended for an individual suffering from allergies.
Ginger
Ginger is one of the most effective herbal remedies to treat nausea. Fresh ginger (grated) can be consumed with honey on a frequent basis to reduce irritation resulting from nausea. Consumption of a cup of ginger tea several times in a day can provide relief from nausea. To obtain better results, the juice extracted from fresh ginger can also be added to salad items or soups and consumed on a regular basis.
Peppermint Leaves
Peppermint is another herbal remedy for nausea. A cup of tea can be prepared by boiling peppermint leaves in water and consumed multiple times in a day to cure nausea. The juice extracted from fresh peppermint leaves (2 teaspoons) can also be added to a glass of cold water and consumed on a daily basis to obtain the desired results.
A small towel can be soaked in a solution created by mixing peppermint oil (4 tablespoons) with water (4 tablespoons) and used for inhaling the aroma (of peppermint) to treat nausea within a short span of time. Rubbing the chest area or temples with peppermint oil can also provide effective results.
