Our main goal in life is to be healthy; a healthy person will always be happy for he is able to make the most of life. In our quest to live a healthy life we have researched and produced several miracle drugs; however each of these come with their own set of side effects. In order to prevent these side effects one must turn to common herbs to be healthy. For centuries people have used food to their benefit. This help to keep you healthy naturally without any side effects.

For generations garlic has been used as an aid to common illnesses and as a preventive measure. From clearing toothaches to purifying the blood; garlic is known for its curative properties. Garlic can be added to food preparations as well as can be eaten in the raw state; but it is not for the faint hearted. Garlic is pungent and strong in flavor and kills bacteria in the body almost instantly.

Cinnamon is well known for its aroma. You will find yourself levitating towards cinnamon buns and cookies and there is good reason for that. The aroma of the herb is soothing to the senses. It helps to reduce stress levels and also maintains blood sugar levels. Those suffering from diabetes have a lot to gain from this herb. You can use it as a topping in your coffee or buns, cookies, cakes and breads. It also reduces the amount of bad cholesterol in the body and prevents cell damage.

Turmeric is an herb that is commonly found in Indian kitchens. It is known for its flavor though the curative powers of the herb take a back seat. The herb is able to soothe burns, cuts and bleeding wounds. It helps to reduce the flow of blood caused by an accident. It also reduces cholesterol in the body, protects the heart from heart diseases and keeps the heart healthy.
