Home Based Remedies for Controlling Dandruff

I like black dresses to wear, in fact black color suits me, but I am afraid those white flaky particles of dandruff spoil my look whenever I go for dark colored dress. This is the story of a major segment of people today. They avoid wearing dark colored dresses due to the problem of dandruff. Dandruff, basically, is the white shiny scales which get separated from the skin and get stick to hair and fall down on the clothes you are wearing around your shoulders and back. This makes your clothes look somewhat awkward and overall look of your dress gets spoiled. Moreover, these scales lead to an itching sensation and if we scratch our hair, these scales fall down on our body. They also come down to different part of our body while combing our hair or brush the hair.
Dandruff has become a common problem among the people of all ages. The basic reason for dandruff is the stress, weakness, hormonal imbalance and a poor hygienic condition. The dandruff can also attack your scalp if you use different hair sprays or hair creams. The chemicals in these sprays and creams make the skin dry and consequently create dandruff.
There are simple and easy home based remedies that can be used for solving the problem of dandruff. Though, most of the people use different types of shampoos available in the market, but in general these shampoos are not able prevent dandruff completely. Moreover, a long term use of these shampoos may lead to other complications as these contain different chemicals. The home remedies available for dandruff protection have no side effect and in most of the cases these remedies are successful in preventing dandruff completely.
If you are facing a problem of dandruff, you should eat garlic as a part of your daily food. Garlic can also be eaten in raw form and you will find your dandruff comes under control slow but certainly. If you use shampoo for controlling dandruff, it advisable to use mildest shampoos, strong shampoos may make you scalp dry. Malnutrition is a major reason for dandruff. So, if you think your dandruff problem is due to malnutrition, you should increase intake of vitamin B complex and should eat fresh fruits and vegetables to control your dandruff.
In case you think that you are facing the problem of dandruff due to stress you encounter as result of work load, you should follow some medication method for resolving this issue. Medication helps in reducing the stress and as a result dandruff automatically comes under control. Using AMLA oil or rubbing lemon on the scalp may also be helpful in reducing the problem of dandruff. In case you find that none of these methods are able to reduce dandruff from your scalp, you should go and consult the doctor.
