Large pores hamper your complexion. The large holes that are visible on your skin and the over production of oil makes your skin look dull and unhealthy. The pores are the openings on the surface of the skin that let out sweat and oil. When the production of oil is greater than it should be it clogs the pores and it looks unhealthy and makes the skin dull. In order to reduce the size of the pores you can try a few home remedies.

Cucumbers are extremely helpful when you are trying to deal with large open pores. Grate a few slices of cucumber and add a few lemon drops in the mix. Apply the mix to your face and let it stay for 15 to 20 minutes. This mask increases the elasticity of the skin and increases the blood circulation in the area thereby unclogging the pores.

Eggs are also good as a remedy to decrease the size of the pores. Apply eggs mixed with lemon juice and let it dry on your skin. As the film dries on your face the waste matter is being eliminated through the pores and they are automatically decreasing in size. The lemon juice acts as an astringent and cleans the pores from deep within. Both the ingredients together add vitamins to the surface of the skin and improve the complexion.

Another way to decrease the size of the pores is to use a scrub. Though walnut and apricot are popularly used I recommend using a sugar scrub.

Blend one spoon of honey with sugar and olive oil and use it to massage the skin on your face. This scrub ensures that the large pores shrink in size and that the excess dirt and grime from the skin is eliminated. After massaging the skin let the mix stay on for a few minutes before washing it with warm water.

As a temporary aid and before applying make up rub ice cubes on your face. This shrinks the size of the pores and makes them appear smaller. It also reduces the secretion of oil on the skin.
