Home Remedies For Bone Spur

A bone spur is nothing but a situation where the body starts developing an additional bone inside some of the body parts like knees, shoulders, hands, feet etc. You can take these following home treatments for curing this problem:

1. Apply ice packs on the bone spur area 4-5 times daily to reduce inflammation.

2. Apply heating pads or you can use hot water bottle on the effected area 4-5 times a day, in case of severe pain.

3. Consume 500-1000 mg of curcumin (the yellow pigment of turmeric) 3-4 times daily empty stomach for around 5-6 weeks.

4. Mix 1 tea spoon of rose hip and horsetail tea to a cup of boiling water, steep for 10 minutes and after that strain the water and drink 1 cup 3-4 times daily.

5. Apply a flax seed hot pack on the bone spur to get relief from pain.

6. Gently massage the affected area to increase blood circulation.

7. Take a cloth, wrap arnica and chamomile, make a bundle and apply it on the affected area. You can also use the herbs to bathe the joint.

8. Linseed oil is good to get relief from pain. Heat linseed oil in a pan and dip a white cotton cloth in the oil until it soaks the oil. Apply the cloth over the affected area and cover the cloth with a piece of plastic. And then apply heating pad over the plastic to keep it warm for around 1-2 hours.
