Home Remedies for Chickenpox

Chickenpox is a condition in which itchy rashes occurs in the skin all over our body. The disease is mainly caused by a virus. The viral infection in case of chickenpox is very contagious and spread from one person to the other very quickly. The disease is common children and infants. However adults can also experience the problem of chickenpox at any stage of their life.

The main symptoms of the disease are itchy rashes on the skin, mild fever, lack of appetite, weakness, restlessness etc. The children below age group of 10 years are always at higher risk of getting this problem. Low immune system of the body increases the chances of the chickenpox. Though the vaccinations of this disease are found to reduce its occurrence, but it is yet unable to cure it completely.

The virus cause this disease easily gets transmitted through air and can attack a healthy person. The direct contact with the person suffering from the disease can also spread chickenpox easily. Initially pimple like eruptions are observed on the skin and at later stage they take the form of blisters.

Children scratch their skin due to itching caused by chickenpox and it leads to the infection of the skin making the disease more dangerous. Unfortunately, there are no medications available for the successful treatment of chickenpox. However, there are a number of home remedies which can cure the chicken pox very quickly.

Marigold flowers are found to be very effective in treatment of chickenpox. Take about 2 to 3 teaspoonful of marigold flowers powder, add some hazel leaves and dissolved them in a 250 ml of water. Leave it for the night and apply on the affected area next morning. It will give a quick relief from the symptoms of chickenpox. Drinking plenty of water and water based fluids keeps the body well hydrated and avoids dehydration.

Herbal tea prepared from marigold flowers and coltsfoot leaves is very helpful in case of chickenpox. Consumption of fruits contain vitamin C is very helpful in avoid chickenpox. Vitamin C makes our immune system stronger and hence keeps us free from the diseases. In case of complications you should consult a doctor.
