Head lice are the commonly known parasite in the hairs of our head. They feed on the blood which they suck from the scalp of our head. Though lice do not have any serious health issues associated with them but the itching that they cause on the scalp can lead to embarrassment while scratching head scalp in public places. The acidic characteristic of vinegar will remove the lice from your head. It is helpful in removing the eggs of the lice. Washing hairs with shampoo is also very effective in avoiding lice. You should massage hairs with coconut oil to avoid lice.

Tea tree oil is very helpful in removing lice. Few drops of this oil when mixed in shampoo give a great relief from the problem of lice. Washing hairs with tea tree oil mixed shampoo on a regular basis remove the lice from the hair very quickly. Listerine mouth wash is another effective home treatment for lice. A daily massaging of scalp with Listerine removes the lice very quickly. Mayonnaise is also very helpful in removing lice and the eggs. You are advised to avoid a head to head contact with the person suffering from the problem of lice.
