In order to be able to control your stress you need to first accept what has happened. When you do this you have won half the battle. It always helps to have a few friends or family members to help you out when you stressed out but you need to be strong to fight your stressors independently. Vent as much as you can. You may scream; cry or even break a few things around the house; do what you want to in order to ease your stress.


In times when you feel you have no control over your environment and this is increasing your stress levels you can turn to yoga for help. The meditative exercises and breathing techniques will help to ease your stress levels. Practice yoga under a certified professional and talk to him about the reasons for joining the program; this will help him to understand your situation and practice exercises that will be effective.

Green Tea

On days when you feel stressed out you must start your day with green tea. The anti oxidants in the tea will help you to ease your stress levels. Sip your tea slowly and inhale the aroma of the tea; this will help you to relax and soothe your senses. Green tea is an effective remedy for high stress levels.


Aromatherapy is very effective as a remedy for stress. Emotional distress can be eased with simple aromatherapy oils. Add essential oils like lavender or orange to your bath water and soak in it for a few minutes to reduce your stress levels naturally. You could also use these oils in a diffuser.

When you are emotionally distressed you must make sure that you do not rationalize and analyze the situation for too long. It is best that you seek remedies that will help you to move out of this situation.
