October 31, 2008

There are a number of joints in our body. These joints help us in performing various activities properly. However, almost everyone in his life experiences joint pain due to one or the other reason. There are various factors leading to joint pain including imbalance diet, sitting for long time, improper posture while sitting, moving or sleeping, obesity, deficiency of vitamin C and calcium in the body et cetera.

Joint pain varies from person to person. Someone gets it in mild form whereas in some cases it is very severe and really difficult to tolerate. Aging is a major factor which leads to joint pain. The diseases like arthritis are also a major cause of joint pain. Sometime people who are involved in hard physical activities also get joint pain. A little effort and precaution can avoid joint pain in our day to day life.

Taking fruits containing vitamin C helps in avoiding joint pain. You should take care of intake of calcium in your food. Calcium is very necessary constituents for bone and hence is very helpful in avoiding the joint pain. You can take cabbage soup and carrot juice to reduce joint pain. Carrot juice and cabbage soup are very helpful in reducing joint pain.

In general, people experience joint pain more in the morning and then slowly it reduces as we perform our daily activities. Applying some ointment before going to bed in the night is very helpful in reducing the joint pain. Boil some water in a pot, dip a cloth in the boiling water, twist out the water from the cloth and apply it where you are experiencing the pain. This will reduce your pain amazingly. Practicing this more a week or so will reduce your joint pain considerably.

If you feel that you are overweight, you should reduce your weight through some weight reducing program. Fasting once a week is helpful in reducing weight as well as the joint pain. Reduce intake of your food and count the calories you take. A regular exercise and yoga is also very helpful in reducing joint pain. Cycling, jogging and swimming are the best exercises to avoid joint pain.

Generally people take pain killer to get rid of joint pain, however taking medications on a long term basis may lead to other health complication. Hence, you should avoid pain killers. Cod liver oil is very important treatment for joint pain. Take one teaspoonful of cod liver oil. If you find that none of these remedies are helpful and your joint pain is increasing day by day, you should consult a doctor for the diagnosis.

I like your perspective and recommendations on relieving joint pain. I have them sometimes, but by doing similar practices as the ones above it usually goes away within a day or two. I can’t even imagine how bad constant and debilitating joint pain can be. It’s best to try to alleviate any pains that come up as quickly as possible by adjusting lifestyle factors before it gets to the point of affecting daily life.
