PMS, your periods, a day where you’ve been standing for long periods of time, bad posture, exhaustion, walking too much and pregnancy are a few common contributing factors. The pain can range from acute to chronic. Sometimes you are left feeling numb in your feet. Although there are several medications available; if you suffer from this kind of pain regularly then taking pills daily are not recommended. You can try some of the various home remedies that have been tried and tested for centauries.
Home remedies to cure leg pain
Soak your feet in warm water. Make sure that the temperature of the water is bearable before you put your feet into them. Add a few drops of peppermint oil in the water to soothe your aching feet. Soak your feet until the water turns warm.
If the pain is unbearable, then heat a brick on the gas and tie it around a wash cloth. Apply this to your feet as if you were fomenting it. Heat compressions are known to cure aches as the heat blasts work to loosen the muscles.
When you stand always make sure that your weight is equally balanced on both feet. Standing in a position whereby your body weight is uneven adds pressure to a single foot and leads to aches later. Always make sure that you wear appropriate footwear. If you are aware that you are going have a long day of standing, then wearing flat shoes instead of high heels is recommended.
Massage your feet with almond or coconut oil if you are suffering from pain. If your muscle is sore or you have a muscle pull then stretch the muscle in the natural position and then gently massage it. Do not exert too much pressure on the muscle as it may lead to severe pain in your leg. Wrap a bandage around your leg at night to keep the position of the muscles in tact.
Mix 10grams of camphor and 200 grams of mustard oil. Pour the liquid in a bottle and place it in the sun to allow the camphor to melt completely. Then massage your feet with this oil, you can add it to the water you soak your feet in or to your bath water as well to reap the benefits of the mixture on all the joints in your body.
