Preventing razor burn
Razor burns can be prevented by keeping the skin moist, using a shaving brush and lather or moisturizing shaving gel. Furthermore, by running razor in the grown hair direction and by applying minimal pressure, one can keep away from razor burn for a long time. Furthermore, by placing a warm wet cloth on the skin to be shaved, one can make the hair soft just before using the razor.
The best way of treating the razor burns is to stop shaving. In this process, the hairs are allowed to grow back while the skin is given some rest. A soothing after shave balm also helps a lot in curing razor burns.
Curing burning sensation
A paste is to be made of two uncoated aspirins in a teaspoon of warm water. Then this paste needs to be applied to the affected area and has to be washed in luke-warm water after sometime. The burning sensation can be cured in this way.
Razor burn mask
A mixture is to be made of a couple of mashed tomatoes with a spoon of sour cream. This mixture is to be applied after shaving and then left on for ten minutes. If it is done twice a week, the skin will be totally fresh and free from razor burns.
Baby rash cream
Baby rash cream works wonders for the skin. One needs to rub the cream after shaving and the skin can be totally protected from razor burns. It is a cheap and homely method of preventing razor burns.
