Calluses are hard layers of skin that are formed on your feet. They form tiny round ball like growths on your feet. They are often on your toes, soles of your feet or at the tip of your toes. The main cause of them is bad footwear. If you are wearing shoes that are big or small for you; if they are too tight at the toes, or the inside stitching of the shoes rub against your foot there is a possibility that you will end up with calluses on your feet.

Home remedies to get rid of the calluses

Tie a piece of lemon around he affected area and let it stay there all night. The juice of the lemon is known to cure the pain and it helps to get rid of the dark marks that the calluses leave behind.

Rub the juice of raw papayas onto the affected area or soak your feet in the juice for a few minutes. This is a tried and tested effective method that cures calluses almost instantly.

Epsom’s salt is highly recommended. Mix 25 grams of the salt in a bucket of water. Soak your feet in this water for a few minutes. The salt will help to reduce the burning sensation in your skin and gets rid of the redness on your feet.

Rub raw potatoes on your feet for a few minutes. The potatoes have a cooling effect on your skin and they help to ease any discomfort that you may be in. the juice of the potato will help to reduce the pain and removes the scars that the calluses leave behind.
