Hiccups are second nature to me. I suffered from them from the time I could remember and laughed the time when I felt my baby do the same inside my womb. I thought something like that was not possible but it actually is. There is nothing dangerous about getting hiccups but if they last a long time; more than 30 minutes then they can be potentially life threatening. And yet in other cases they are a sign of a much more serious disease like cancer or other infections. If you are not suffering from chronic hiccups then you can try a few home remedies to help you out of your dilemma.
